But that quite possibly could have gotten him killed, given his religion and all. Teh Gay is pretty much a death penalty offense as far as they're concerned (regardless of applicable US laws). At best he would have found himself a complete outcast from his family, friends and faith community.

5. It is possible that he is gay but

is so deep in the closet even from himself. His feelings are in direct conflict with his culture and beliefs.

On NPR it was said that he tried to find a wife through an Islamic marriage service but rejected all of the women. It is just a thought.
