Clinton Soundbite: ‘Teabaggers Are So Inflamed Because We’re Winning’
“The reason the tea-baggers are so inflamed is because we are winning.”

— Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse paraphrasing Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, in a lunch with Democratic senators Tuesday

Clinton spoke with lawmakers today on the importance of passing health care reform, something he failed to do during his first term. According to Whitehouse and Politico, “Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) said Clinton described the ongoing tea party protests against the Democratic agenda as a sign their party was making progress.”

“The point I want to make is: Just pass the bill, even if it’s not exactly what you want,” he reportedly said. “When you try and fail, the other guys write history.

2. Actually, they're "inflamed" because they're afflicted
with hate.

7. They're also infected...teabagging isn't really healthy...especially since
they're doing it with strangers, or, people who are strange.

8. That isn't the reason. They get inflamed about everything.
In fact they aren't particularly inflamed at all in comparison to leftist protesters. They just get endless coverage, having their own news channel.

9. Clinton’s overall message was
Clinton’s overall message was one the Obama administration has tried to make: not passing a bill is worse than passing one that’s not perfect.

“So it’s not important to be perfect here, it’s important to act, to move, to start the ball rolling, to claim the evident advantages that all these plans agree with, and whatever they can get the votes for, I’m gonna support,” Clinton said he told the senators. “I think it is good politics to pass this and to pass this as soon as they can. But I think the most important thing is it is the right thing for America. The worst thing to do is nothing.”

10. I love Obama
But nobody can explain an issue and rally the troops quite like Bill Clinton. That man has a gift. Tasking Bill to wrangle those congress critters was a brilliant move and another reason why I love our president.

13. And, pray tell, as Ed Schultz asked, WHO did he "rock and sock"?
I'm guessing it was the liberals rather than the Blue dogs, right?

yeah, that's a BIG help. :sarcasm:

12. He hit the nail on the head
The can't make the democrats jump thru hoops, or can them, anymore and they can't make their outrageous laws. So they are raging. And they are taking it out on the people who voted for them and put them in office. The very same people they should be making laws and voting on laws that would help them.
