The Sex Tape -- A Morality Tale
Back in the distant past, in the 1970s, my former wife took a video production class in the art department of the local community college. As a final project, each student had to produce a short film. At the end of the semester, the films of all the students were presented to the class and to whomever wanted to come...mostly the significant others of the students. I went to the viewing.

For the most part, the videos were typical of student videos and not all that interesting, my former wife's video being the exception, of course. (Actually, hers was pretty awful, too, but I didn't tell her that.)

Among the students in the class was a 19 year old woman who was, in short, a spectacular-looking young woman. Also a very nice person, who was always very friendly to everyone. Her video, like the others, was an amateurish-looking thing, set on the beach with her and her friends doing some sort of moonlight dance.

After each of the videos was shown, the "auteur" would take the podium for criticism and questions. After this young woman's video, she came up to the front. Comments ensued, against the gray, snowy background of the projection screen.

About a minute into the commentary section, that gray, snowy background suddenly changed. Now, the young woman, of course, had her back to the screen. On that screen appeared a very graphic, very naked young woman, the very one standing there, engaged in a sex act with none other than the also very naked instructor of the video class.

Jaws dropped in the audience, and the video streamed on for at least another minute, until the young woman realized that something was amiss behind her. In horror, she ran to the back of the room and shut off the VCR, with all eyes following her. The class instructor just stood there, his face gone white. He couldn't move.

With the video off, the young woman came back up to the front of the class...started trying to make some sort of apology, then finally gave up and shrugged. Everyone laughed until they cried. The instructor got his color back. Nothing more came of the incident.

The moral: If you make a sex tape, be sure you don't tape over it with your student video unless you're very, very sure you've erased the entire tape.

Afterword: The instructor married the young woman, and they are still married, all these years later, with kids and grandkids. The story of the wayward sex tape is just one more interesting story they tell in trusted company.

3. I guess the point is that stuff like this happens. It blows over.
It isn't the end of the world. Miss Prejean will also get over her sex tape, and will move on with her life. She's a moron, of course, and perhaps she'll learn something from what has happened, but it's not really going to ruin her whole life...unless she lets it.

Kids do really stupid stuff when they're young. It's what happens during the rest of their lives that make the real difference. Prejean is young and stupid. That's not incurable.

5. I was in another post talking about this
and the only problem I had was she was telling others how to live. I really do not care what she has done in her past. As you say it more depends on where she goes from here.
