If in 2005 or so George W and the republican Congress had tried to enact
the health care "reform" just passed by the House, how would DU have reacted?

1. Impossible
They would never have done it, and that's why they didn't. We know how repukes feel about these things.

3. The same way that we reacted to Medicare Part D.
Edited on Tue Nov-10-09 01:00 PM by Cleita
Incidentally, all the objections we had to it, the lack of price controls, the donut hole, the confusion of plans from the private PhRMA industry, the penalties for not enrolling all turned out exactly as we thought it would, a big boost in corporate welfare for the PhRMA industry. That's why Congress has spent sections in the health care bills to try to fix it. But it seems Congress wants to make the same mistakes all over again with health care for everyone. I don't get it.

4. It's easy to get
They're all paid off, if they were honest they would sport decals of their corporate sponsors like race cars do.

11. seriously, this IS NOT health care reform,
it is a TARP for the insurance industry--a reward, a brazillion-dollar gift to the sickness extortion racket segment of the kleptocracy. HELL YEAH the republicans would enact this sort of thing. They'd give it a name like "health care reform" too.

and FYI, I'm from the same distorted Wonderland you are from.
