Hollywood celebs embrace their male breasts - really

http://www.tvguide.com/

they have a picture gallery of 12 male celebs = Celebrity Man Boobs

I don't understand the phenomenon of men liking their new breasts.

seems like they should take an interest in removing man made hormones from meat/food/water which is causing their breasts.

and causing girls and women to have bigger and bigger breasts. and girls to bleed at younger and younger ages.

is this a type of 'sticking your head in the sand'?

3. Lol, moobs are a normal side effect of being overweight.
Several of the skinnier guys there didn't have moobs at all, but simply had large pecs. Not the same thing.

Mine are best described as "mecks" nowadays.

16. look at photos of bare chested men before the age of man made hormones

not a breast in sight.

I've even noticed that my male cats have female cat sized bright pink nipples. before man made hormones I raised Siamese cats and the male nipple was tiny, white and hard to see or find in the hair.

Look at them man boobs!

If you really want, I can fill this thread with paintings and statuary of overweight men with moobs dating back into antiquity. The only thing new about moobs is the terminology (man boobs coined in the 1980's sometime, and moobs popping up about 5 years ago). Before that, it was just a "fat chest".

14. LOL! Way to rewrite history.
Edited on Tue Nov-10-09 01:09 PM by Xithras
There's a story about Louis VI of France having boobs larger than those of his concubines, and he lived almost a thousand years ago. Man boobs are NOT new, and whoever told you that was either pulling your leg or trying to sell you something. The chest area of BOTH sexes is a fat gathering area, and the development of fatty tissue around the chest is NORMAL in obese people.

Man boobs used to be rare because obesity, and even simply being overweight, used to be very rare. Over the last few decades the weight of the average American has grown significantly, and the rates of outright obesity have quadrupled since the mid 1980's. Moobs are the natural result. The rise in the number of moobs seen on American streets has climbed right along with the size of the American waistline.

There may indeed be things in our food that are creating moobs (like HFCS), but only because they're making us fat in a more general sense.

And no, I am not very young.

4. Simon Cowell looks fine, but the TV Guide editor found one photo...
...with odd lighting to make him look bad, when he has normal pectoral muscles.

6. I think all kinds of additives
are making our health go down hill.
From high fructose corn syrup to hormones are making us sick and die.

In 1993 I was told by my dr that with my bp/cholesterol numbers I would have a stroke by lunch time and it is 10:30 now. to make a long story short and an embarassing incident to boot i changed the way I ate starting that day. I cut fast foods, still have once in a while, started eating more and more food w/o additives. I used to drink 5 cokes a day and that ws the kind with corn syrup. I was also borderline diabetic, I still have the occasional coke or soda, but mostly its a couple cups of coffee in the morning with honey and cream, with water most of the rest of the time.

We try to buy local grown foods, we have a garden, buy beef from a local farmer who only feeds grass and hay, no drugs or hormones, unless a cow is sick and that cow is segregated from the herd until she is well.

I lost 90 pounds, my bp/cholesterol/blood sugar are all good now.
I did have a heart attack from the artery clogging fat from back then and a bypass, I tried to exercise. I had to quit working out due to an illness and have to get back on the routine again. Over all I feel better, what is left of my mind works better too.

9. Most of these man boobs are the result of abandoned body building
or obesity. Didn't seem many that would indicate too much exposure to estrogen like substances.
