Sesame Street turns 40!
Some TV station out there should be showing classic Elmo-free Sesame '70s episodes!

1. Hope SS will show classics today like Bert & Ernie and "Rubber Duckie".

2. Nothing wrong with Elmo.
The show evolves. It will have several different characters in 40 years again and a few old friends still.

5. If you're not a toddler yes.
And neither you nor I are toddlers I bet.

4. Ah, so that's why Google has had the Sesame Street characters...
...in their logo over the last few days. Cool! I was always partial to Oscar the Grouch, myself.

6. For the past 20 years....
Elmo has RUINED Sesame Street and dumbed it down.

7. Okay, okay, Elmo is NOT the problem.
YOY's right--nothing is wrong with Elmo.

What I really have a problem with is that the classic Sesame '70s episodes aren't on TV anywhere (remember when they sued to be on NOGGIN?). I have the "Old School" box sets of these, but I can only watch them so many times.
