1. Looks like she's going ashore west of where they said she would

and the main storm surge is going to get pushed right up Mobile Bay.

At least the tourist season is over. Let's hope people took this seriously and headed for higher ground. The wind won't be much but depending on the tide, the storm surge might be.

2. Yeah, the winds aren't really

supposed to be that bad -- they're saying 50mph at landfall. Low tide is tonight, however, so some people in low-lying areas have been getting sandbags. All we're expecting here in Biloxi is a few inches of rain and some gusty winds. I hope they're all right on the Alabama coast.
