CT haters: Please remember that CT Dems threw Joe Lieberman out of the Democratic Party
in 2006 and in his place ran a progressive, anti Iraq War candidate. We did what we had to do. Don't forget that we put up a spirited resistance to this guy 3 years ago when a lot of people weren't paying attention.

So I'd say we did our part of the bargain!

1. I ain't a hater, but I wish every CT Dem would have voted for Lamont
then we wouldn't have to deal with Lieberman's tantrums. Clearly CT has learned it's lesson. I hope Lieberman runs again. He will lose.

3. I found that in making calls for Lamont, lots of people had no idea who he was.
Or some saw him as a rich guy from Greenwich, which he was and is, and that was that. It was a stupid bias against a good guy, but that's what we had to deal with.

You are right that lots of people in CT have turned on him since that time. He's never here. He clearly never identifies with the state unless he's trying to hog the credit for something he doesn't deserve. People are tired of his grandstanding. I laugh when I think about how he used to go into a diner I often eat in and shake people's hands. Or I'd see him walking to shul on Saturday. Those days are no more and haven't been for some time...

4. Lamont was a bit polically inexperienced, but hell
as for a senate seat, I'll take an inexperienced progressive over Lieberman any day of the week. I really think the guy just wants to do whatever will get him on the TV.

2. Connecticut Dems did their best -
it's not their fault that he was elected by CT corporatists and Repubs.
