(That includes all Democratic people who have approved the illegal Stupak amendment, btw)
We are the forgotten people.
We represent the millions of people that have helped elect your sorry butt into the position you are today. The Founding Fathers intended for the House and the Senate to be separate for a very good reason. It seems that it's intertwined into the same thing - pleasing corporate assholes that fill your coffers. But, we are the ones that VOTED you in, not the corporate people.
Pelosi, you CONSULTED an foreign entity AND a religious entity to get their opinion on the health care reform. That was a major mistake that you made - AGAIN, you ignored the will of the people, and listened to a 75 year old pope of a Catholic church that has no business in interfering with the health care reform. That is clear and present violation of the doctrine of church and state. For that alone, you should resign from the Speaker of the House in shame - and put in someone who has a clue on what to do. I'd suggest someone like Diana DeGette - a smart woman that knows what she is doing, has done her job, and gotten the votes needed for the job, and damn the Stupak amendment which is a clear violation of settled law.
Both of you - you have to remember - you're representing a group of people who have TOLD you repeatedly over and over that they want single payer health care, or a robust public option. All you have shown us is a watered down insurance giveaway bill, and I won't accept that. There are several things you must do. Strip the insurance mandate, or make sure all people who can't afford to pay for insurance are properly subsidized 100% to help pay for the insurance, but stripping the mandate is better. Why punish people who cannot afford to pay for insurance? Fuck that.
I think you need to dump the current bill and start over - Start with the single payer health care. I don't care what you do - invoke the nuclear option to get it passed, just pass the DAMN bill - if industrialized nations like UK, Canada, Mexico, Israel, France and Italy have it - why is it SO goddamned hard to pass universal health care.
That's what we fucking want, and I'll support anyone who has the TESTICULAR FORTITUDE to vote YEA to pass the damn bill.
How hard can it be? Do I need to bring out my torch and pitchfork and call for the heads of the useless Representative/Senators?
