Voting for a bad Bill was exactly the right thing to do.

Now we can get down to what this country really wants, and we'll see just what our leaders in the Senate are made of. The hard questions must now be answered and the real supporters of "all men/women are created equal" will be called to stand up for what they believe.

The Senate is in for a terrible battle over HCR but that's as it should be. Truths will be spoken and lies exposed. We as a nation MUST be prepared to do battle over this because not only are we to be affected by the results but our children and grandchildren, et al.

Just as we stood up for civil rights and women's voting issues against great odds, so too will we have to stand up for medical coverage that does not discriminate against ANYONE for ANY REASON. The Stupak Amendment must go...no question. It only perpetuates making second class citizens out of the less advantaged. America is better than that, or so I had hoped.

We have to embrace this fight now and not settle for anything less than complete coverage for all without prejudice. Voting in favor of the House Bill has headed us in the right direction, if somewhat off track momentarily. (It's true that any road will take us there, if we don't know where we're going. NOW WE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOING.) Let's make the journey together and take America to a better place.

The time for Health Care Reform has come and it would behoove us to use our energies in targetting the Senate for what they might do instead of blaming the House for what it has done.
