I'm an online acquaintance of cartoonist Tom Richmond (I've never met him in person, I'm not claiming we're drinking buddies or anything), through a cartoonist's message board. He posted this link to a recent blog entry. Pretty incredible, if you ask me. This is some brilliant work and it appears to be a very worthwhile app. Apple's reason for rejecting it is that it ridicules public officials. Huh? They're caricatures! No one is ridiculed or treated unfairly, Democrat or Republican. Just a caricature and and contact information for each rep. You can read Apple's rejection letter at the link, along with more screen images from the app. It's a beautiful piece of work. I don't know it there is a lobbying process to try to change Apple's mind, but this is just plain stupid...

1. Ayup ...

And herein' lies one of the main reasons I do not by and large support proprietary software or the companies that lock consumers into corporate approved choices by using it.

2. If people make enough of s stink, Apple has been know to change their policy
Individual apps have been allowed on the store after people complained about their rejection.
