Imam tied to 9/11 hijackers praises Hasan
WASHINGTON - The personal Web site for a radical American imam living in Yemen who had contact with two 9/11 hijackers is praising alleged Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan as a hero.

1. I think we still need to learn more. For example, is the argument
that ANYONE who attended this mosque in Virginia in 2001 is now a potentially violent Islamic extremist? Did Hasan KNOW the hijackers? To me this connection generates more questions than answers any.

Clearly, this guy seems to have been a bit of a relgious nut. This is a problem. But if he was urged conspiratorily to do this that is quite another.

I am opposed to religious extremism in all of its forms, as it seems to lead to violence too often. Time will tell if that is what we had at Ft. Hood.
