I thought he wasn't speaking to Rachel because she so demolished him during the coverage of the primaries.

He ran clips of her from MTP yesterday talking about the Stupak amendment's effect on Dem women, on Afghanistan and also on the futility of Dems to worry about what pubs will say about Dem spending. All good stuff. Joe ran them at least twice while I was watching (bet. 7 and 8:30 am).

Has he "made up" with Rachel? Was he "told" to pump her up because she was on his network? Perhaps (gasp!) he has come to appreciate her wisdom, at long last?

I'm not complaining. I saw her on MTP yesterday and loved seeing her remarks replayed. I'm just surprised that Joe would "be so kind" as to feature her on his show...

GO RACHEL!

1. My impression was he was slamming her for promoting big spending?

4. At first, I thought so too. I kept waiting for his follow up "slam." But it never came.
He gave her a lot of his air time. Maybe he has developed a grudging respect for her and that mixed with a nudge from the boss of MSNBC made him do it...
