To want health care and equal rights for all...
Is not progressive, it's normal.

I'm not a freak for wanting that.

1. No, you're not.
It's freaky to want to deny anyone health care for any reason, or to want affordability to determine the amount and quality of care a person can get.

"American".

6. I agree.
But in the world of politics, wanting what almost everyone alive also wants is suddenly freakish and abnormal.

What is normal in politics is to want what corporations want, and corporations are by definition psychopaths. They want to take advantage of as many people as possible by absolutely any means necessary and turn all people into dedicates sources of revenue who have no rights at all.

Politicians have to balance these two views, what voters want and what corporations want, but they give a lot more weight to the corporate view because corporations donate far more money to campaigns and yell a lot louder through lobbyists.

Using the Corporate Media's method of achieving balance, assume that both sides start out artificially equal in legitimacy (even though the corporate side should have no legitimacy in our government) so that the side you prefer starts with a huge artificial advancement from the far fringe towards the middle. Then, give your side even more of an advantage by counting their money as speech, so that only your side is heard at all. Thus, we have the fake situation where corporations are said to win the war of ideas legitimately somehow.

:grr:

9. "We don't need no stinkin' imaginary utopian health care."
An actual reminder on DU (by a predictable Obama blanket supporter) in just the last 48 hours.

Never mind the rest of the civilized world. You're just a crazy pain in the ass.
