Things are changing SO fast, there are so many things I don't know (but would like to know)
I feel totally overwhelmed! (and totally EXHAUSTED). I don't think humans were built to 'adapt' this quickly. Humans adapt over loooong periods of time.

Gosh, even in my 'industry'...there are so many rule changes, internet options, file by this date.....AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

"Somebody" wants us to adapt 'like yesterday'.....sorry, I'm exhausted. Ain't gonna happen.

Does anyone else, besides me, feel the exhaustion of things moving waaay too quickly? One wants to process/handle it in a logic manner, but it's just "TOO MUCH".

Purposeful overload???? Overload leads to collapse.

Maybe that's the purpose?! Collapse!?

2. There are so many new rules/regulations about EVERYTHING......
so many new internet options that I don't know how to adequately use. I can't even go visit my mother in the hospital on a SUNDAY w/o being interrupted by a client calling with a problem. We have NO TIME to stop, think, analyze our conversations with others, etc.....it's just "go, go, go".

I'm not enjoying ANY of it. I'm always "available" (if not, I would suffer in my job)....it just really S*CKS.

4. You don't have to figure it all out today...
...why don't you take a nice, hot bath... you'll feel better. Make some 'me' time. Add epsom salts & bubble bath if you have it... :-)

3. I hear ya!
Not only technology, but the language and the basic way people communicate (or not). I'm not talking about texting and LOL's and whatnot. There's just too much shit coming from too many different directions, and most of it is impersonal and one-sided.

6. It's been a very long week for me--I digress
Edited on Mon Nov-09-09 02:30 AM by Horse with no Name
I have been out of work sick--I have 15 calender days to get papers into my employer, where they have 20 business days to reply to me. They started rolling my date while I was in the hospital so I lost 5 days right off the bat. Then there was the weekend.
FMLA laws have changed when we weren't looking so that all of my vacation time is drained BEFORE my sick time is used. My vacation that I needed is gone. I have tickets that cost $300 that I cannot use, since I no longer have vacation time available.
I have to file papers in case I need it and then if I do need it, I have to have papers done for that.
Exhaustion is what they are striving for. They are going for as many possible hoops for us to jump through to see if we will just eventually get tired and give up.
EVERYTHING is geared to benefit the corporate overlord.
I am overloaded. I am grouchy. I am pissed.
Collapse sounds good at this point.

7. You are definitely not alone. There is way too much information both work and non-work

related to process. Companies are willfully blind in not seeing that this can affect how well the company does. Employees stop caring and just do enough to get by. What's can make matters worse is that other co-workers probably feel the same but prefer to appear unpreturbed.
