1. Not sure that is the answer. That is exactly what the repukes want...
If all the progressives get so disgusted they stop voting...who wins then?

If anything, we need to get more and more active..

2. Demand recall elections?
Maybe that's something we should put forward.

3. Well, that's a valid choice, too. . .
Won't get anyone any closer to any meaningful goal, but then, the same argument can be made in many regards about voting, too.

We all make the choices that seem best for us.

4. At least vote for your local and state officials. Leave National Blank
Never stop voting. Too many Democrats have done this already.

6. OPM.......
I remember reading about this - OPM - Other People's Money - when I was much younger. Guess what - that's what the politicians use when they are running for office - basically "Our Money". So what do they do? They tell us what we want to hear so they could get our money. They use our money to get elected. And then - and then - after they use our money that we've given them to get elected based on their campaign promises - they break most of their promises with the excuse that they had to compromise.

And we fall for it every time. And when we say we're not going to vote - yes - some other politician will do the same and get elected anyway. Usually one that we don't agree with - and is even further away from our political beliefs than the one that we gave money to and voted for.

And the beat goes on.

8. pretty empty statement and gesture
Might as well say that you are so disgusted with the Democrats that you will throw bricks through random car windows. First, you do not say why you are disgusted. Second you do not define the term 'meaningful', and third you suggest a response which will have no other result than electing more Republicans. Do you really think you would be better served that way? Can you remember the year 2003? Were you better off when Republicans were in charge? Less disgusted by the things they did (as in - Iraq war, tax cuts mostly for the rich) and by the things they failed to do?

I am not sure how I feel about this bill. It's pretty complicated and clear as mud to me, but what is very clear is that Republicans are not on the side of progress.
