1. Before the leaders of the two factions come in and present their cases,
I'll pop in and offer my two cents. Yeah, we got a bill passed, and it's a decent start. But there are folks here who are pissed (and rightly so) that we gave up so much to get it.

5. And to think it was only passed by 2 votes
Proof that a more progressive bill wouldn't have made it.

218 needed to pass, 220 voted for it. It won by 2 votes. Read the U.S. Constitution. It's your friend.

11. There's nothing to celebrate
until a bill is signed by the president. I don't see it as all that great a bill anyway, and it's only going to get worse after the Senate's done with it. Just my opinion.

12. I thought this board would be cheering for years
Surprisingly, since the election, there is more anti-Obama and anti-Democrat posting on this board than I ever dreamed there would be!

20. It's not been a fun place this year
I never considered leaving (after 5 years) until recently when it seemed like the place was being overrun by disruptors. Then I had a brainstorm and put all of the 'usual subjects' on ignore. Much, much better - I'm now having discussions with people I had forgotten existed as I was too busy arguing with whackos on the latest flamefest thread.
