Addressing the Republican ploy to pose as a Democrat supporter who has been betrayed and is
disillusioned...I'm seeing this played out on DU and on other various leftish web-sites too...highly evident since voting of Health care bill...righties are in meltdown..I'm probably not going to get much out of the Health care bill, its a first to say I gave up a Saturday night to watch a bill being voted on..but it's so worth it to see the right in freefall:headbang:  I support President Obama and what the Democrats are trying to do...I'm in this for the long-haul...

2. Ah, the yustabees
They were out in full force during the Clinton witch-hunt years, people who had been bedrock democrats for their entire lives, but fled the party of helping the poor and middle class in favor of the party of greed and bile--all because the president had lied to them, personally, about getting a bj.

3. You will get farther if you try discussion and debate instead of accusing others with opinions that
differ of being
"agents and spies"

Authoritarians and corpratists indeed want us to see each other this way.

The party is split about this issue and that is what you are seeing. Maybe we should listen to each other instead of calling each other names. And most of that name calling has not been by the people who are disallusioned, but by the folks calling for everyone to fall in place?

9. I guess you must have nothing better to do, than stalk people from thread to thread and
Edited on Sun Nov-08-09 06:28 PM by HipChick
accuse them of being a troll, liar, freeper etc...because they have different POV

And what is lying about saying that often battered or DV women do not have the resources and have no other choice but to return to the person who is abusing them?

7. Just because it's called Democratic underground doesn't mean we should
assume that everyone posting has democratic principles.

Even if I'm not 100% percent pleased with the job Obama is doing, or the contents of this bill, that doesn't change my core democratic belief system.

(BTW, what's up with "Obama" showing up as spell check? You'd think that would be recognized by now???)

10. It's not my turn to watch the spell checker today...but even if I don't
see everything coming out of WH that I want, its not going to lose my support for voting democratic..
