So how bad will the Senate health bill be?
Will it remove the few good bits from the House bill and then we will have an even worse bill to be crammed through for the sake of saying "We did Health reform!" for the midterm elections?

And a sidenote, will there still be cheerleading going on at DU for the final bill when it is as bad as it will probably turn out to be?

2. The industry is going to do the best they can to f*ck it up, the Republicans will obstruct some more
and then there is Liebermann and the Blue Dogs.

Hopefully Harkin et al can pull something off, but we are in for a lot more "Death Panel" type bullshit.

3. Since Bernie Sanders is on the HELP committee, I have some small hope
that a tiny sliver of PO will survive that can be built on. I don't know if it will survive from there though through the conference committee.

4. As bad as it can get unless we get off our asses and
become a strong and the counter of those who currently have the loudest voices?

5. 3 Senators are up for re-election next year that are going to be obstructionist
You might want to focus on those three. I disagree with the House bill, but have no problem giving advice since I know the Senate bill is going to be worse...

Bayh, Lincoln, and Dorgan...those three are the ones you need to target...the rest will make a good well placed bet that they are safe in 2012 or 2014 over this vote.
