1. You salute a woman who voted against our entry into WWII after Pearl Harbor?
Wow, this place is really starting to attract some serious nutjobs.

2. Being a Pacifist is being against all wars.
I don't necessarily agree with this, but I think you probably could put
Martin Luther King & Ghandi in that same group & to call non violence
being a nutjob is a little over the top.

8. Yeah, and that's stupid
Nor is there evidence that MLK opposed WWII or the Civil War (which would have left his ancestors in slavery otherwise).

3. I do. She ran as a pacifist and voted consistent with her principles.
To be more precise, she voted No only on the joint declaration of war against Japan. As to Germany and Italy, she voted Present.

Now, do you want a discussion on your term, nutjobs, and who you're applying it to?

7. Having principles does not elevate you to sainthood
Stalin, Hitler and Mao all had principles too. They were consistent with those principles, and killed tens of millions of people in the process.

10. Trifecta. You compared Kucinich to Stalin, Mao AND Hitler.
You're going in the Godwin Hall of Fame.

6. I think there's a lot to that. Embracing those who use you because they're "not as bad".

9. Sorry, that's why I'm not a pacifist.
Anyone who opposed out entry into WW2 AFTER WE WERE ATTACKED was a moron.

11. Read your history. The economic war was going on for better than a decade before Pearl Harbor.
Competing empires usually result in wars. No need to be simpleminded about it.
