1. It is still officially hurricane season
until 12/1. It's rare to have one now, but not unheard of. IIRC, during the unforgettable 2005 season (Katrina, Rita, et al and on into the Greek alphabet) there was a tropical storm in late December that lasted into January of 06.

7. Cool job. I am sure she will be fine.
There will prolly be some flooding in downtown Mobile, as usual.
the aptly named Water Street always floods when it rains hard, if I remember correctly.

5. strong november hurricanes are rare, but not unknown
Hurricane Mitch, one of the deadliest hurricanes on record, formed in late October and did a lot of damage in early November.

Another example of a deadly November hurricane is Gordon, from the mid 1990s.
