VIRGINIA - The ink is not even dry on the health care bill passed in the House of Representatives Saturday night, but Virginia's Governor-Elect is not impressed.
The Senate version of the bill currently includes a provision that would allow states to choose whether to participate in any government-run part of health care. If given the option, Governor-Elect Bob McDonnell says Virginia will opt out.
"My preference would be not to have Virginia participate from what I know this plan contains...however they structure it"
McDonnell made the comments Sunday on CNN's State of the Union.
"The public option does not seem to be something that'll help us in Virginia"
