Additionally, it is recommended that one not become overly wedded to an opinion. New facts and circumstances should always cause a reconsideration of the current position.

Unfortunately, talking points of any stripe do not enable or promote this type of thinking.

I don't decide consciously whether to tackle a problem using critical thinking.

I just do it.

You might even say that I apply critical thinking uncritically.

many here seem to think like this: i've put a lot of critical thought into this topic(insert flamewar of the day) i have reached the right conclusion, so everybody else can benefit from my excellent critical thinking skills and just trust that i'm right.
