1. I believe this would be
giving consideration to all available facts, from many different sources, before making a decision or coming to any conclusion. All conclusions must be based on available facts. Additionally, it is recommended that one not become overly wedded to an opinion. New facts and circumstances should always cause a reconsideration of the current position.

Unfortunately, talking points of any stripe do not enable or promote this type of thinking.

8. What is critical thinking?
Critical thinking is the ability to recognize that we have more choices than those provided in polls such as this one.

10. Critical thinking can lead to analysis paralysis
Sometimes is better to act - to try something, even not knowing if it will work, than to sit and ponder the situation.

11. I agree with your claim, but your claim does not seem to adress the issue of "importance".
Perhaps the option could read, "Critical thinking is important to me, but we need to be aware of analysis paralysis."

Your initial critique of my poll is solid, you get extra credit.

12. Critical thinking is not something I think about often
I don't decide consciously whether to tackle a problem using critical thinking.

I just do it.

You might even say that I apply critical thinking uncritically.

Importance is an attribute that applies to conscious decisions.

14. it may be important to a lot of posters, but they implement it poorly.
many here seem to think like this: i've put a lot of critical thought into this topic(insert flamewar of the day) i have reached the right conclusion, so everybody else can benefit from my excellent critical thinking skills and just trust that i'm right.
