So you thought TN was a red state, huh?
From the TN Democratic Party newsletter:
EDWARDS LEADS IN RAKING IN TENNESSEE CASH

The report of contributions from Tennessee show early support here for former North Carolina Senator John Edwards as he has received $134,650 in the first quarter of 2007.

Comparatively, Edwards has received more money than Republicans John McCain and Rudy Giuliani combined. Senator Barack Obama came in second with $26,631 and Senator Hillary Clinton received $7,870.

I promise you TN will be Blue in 2008!

1. Blue- Blooded Tennessean Checking in!
Somehow that doesn't seem to sound quite right?

I mean, $624/mo SSI Disability isn't really a trust fund

2. No it won't.
Not with Edwards on the ticket (or HRC or Obama).

I'm a Tennessean.

Sick of da bushit?

I wish Johnny Cash was still healthy and playing music..he'd see to it that Tennessee was BLUE!

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are going to be in The Live Earth Concert in New Jersey at Giant Stadium. :)

6. Edwards is raking in dough from the Trial Lawyer's Association
and, thus far, he's the only Southerner on the ballot.

He's not going to sway the white male swing voters. Hell, my husband, a white male Democrat, won't vote for him should he be the nominee (and, no, he won't vote for the Republican - he'll write in Al Gore).

10. No Sweetie, he wasn't..the
repukes were trying to claim him(as they always try their bullshit) but as his daughter Roseanne said..he hated this war.

And Johnny Cash wore Black because of the injustices in the World and said he wouldn't stop wearing Black until there was Justice.

5. similar situation in Alabama
WASHINGTON | Jimmy Carter was the last Democrat to win Alabama in the Presidential general election, but in the fundraising race for 2008, the Democrats have taken a substantial lead in the state.

Democratic presidential candidates raised more than $444,000 in Alabama in the first quarter of 2007, compared with the $187,000 raised by Republican candidates, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

The top fundraiser in the state was John Edwards, whose war chest received a $314,000 boost.

“Alabamians were increasingly frustrated with Republican leadership," state Democratic Party spokesman Zac McCrary said.

9. TN blue in 2008, from your keyboard to ...wherever it needs to go!
I haven't donated to anyone yet, but I do know that the only "person" from a campaign in my county is with the Edwards campaign.

I'm still waiting to see what my President, Al Gore, does. Thanks for posting this. :hi:

11. this is one Tennessean who will be voting for John Edwards, if he is the nominee
I don't care much for Hillary Clinton at all. Reminds me of a repub lite... I haven't looked too deeply into Obama, but that's just because I like John Edwards like some people like Gore.

I'll do everything I can to help turn Tennessee blue...
