Hey, guess where Bartieboy lives when he's in D.C.
While in Washington, DC, Stupak rents a room at the C Street facility of The Family, a Christian organization which operates the property as a tax-exempt church and a residence for several congressmen and senators.

When asked if he takes part in "fellowship" activities at the Family's C Street Center, Stupak said that he just rents a room, but does not know what goes on there. Stupak refuses to "discuss what goes on there, because I'm not there. ... Are there other activities going on there? Yes. But what goes on and things like that, I don't know. I have my room there." Pressed again about whether he's "involved" in any "activities" at the house, Stupak responded, "I have a room there. And I participate in a Tuesday night dinner once in a while there. ... So there is no regimen. There is no group stuff I have to do. ... You guys ... are grasping at straws that's not there. I rent a room there." "I do not belong to any such group. I don't know what you are talking about. ... I have no affiliation," he adds.<3>

However, Jeff Sharlet, an author who wrote a tell-all book about the organization affiliated with the C Street facility, implied that he found Stupak's explanation dubious. “When I lived with The Family at Ivanwald, a house for younger men being groomed for leadership, I was told that Stupak was a regular visitor to the Cedars,” Sharlet said. According to the Washington Independent, the Cedars is also owned by The Family and hosts weekly prayer events.

5. Jesus loves special people like Stupak because they're privileged.
Edited on Sun Nov-08-09 11:47 AM by valerief
That's their philosophy. They take because they can take, and because they can take, they should take.

Sounds like their Jesus is a greedy, hateful Capitalist.

6. Sure he does.
Most of the enemies of the American people are affiliated with that organization to some extent, from being fanatics like Stupak or just paying them lip service.

I still want to know how deeply Moon is into that bunch. Most of their repellent philosophy is his.

8. It's a fairly large cult
Center for National Policy->C-street->Family Research Council->Third Wave->Moon and his Monied Friends

These are scary people who want theocracy, but we don't believe them when they say such things. I'm pretty sure, because of the shared memberships, that they're one thing giving the appearance of many small things. This faux division lets them appear to disagree on certain items, thereby infiltrating any group that would oppose them.

No doubt about it.

10. And if anyone thinks that churches don't do EXTENSIVE networking, you should check into what
membership ($$$$$) in national church organizations gets for a pastor/congregation.

11. I'm telling you, these are the very fuckers who brought us George Bush and the Invasion & Occupation
of a sovereign national known as Iraq, not to mention the deaths of 4K+ American Soldiers and about a million Iraqis, which HAD to have included something like 30,000 children - AND - I am pissed as HELL at being at least in part responsible for this horrible Horrible CRIME.

14. Absolutely, and a myriad of other criminal activity.
They use a religious disguise, which keeps the faithful blind, and the opposition mute - because how dare you insult my religion, it's a violation of the Constitution! They are the primary cause of the problems in this nation, and I think they need someone to look them in the eye and make them back down. Plus, I really think we need a nationwide deprogramming effort, I deal with these religious people in Idaho, and they need help. They're not nearly as stupid, or crazy as they seem if you talk to them in person, but they certainly are brainwashed.

17. We mustn't underestimate how wide and DEEP their networking is.
Imagine being a socially acceptable front for, say, any kind of hate group? As long as the group keeps its/the congregation's nose clean by remaining non-violent, they can believe and do whatever they want, plus they have a nice place to meet, social status, community service projects, fun activities, study-groups, tax exemptions, etc. etc. etc. Beyond telling people how to vote, I'm not saying this sort of thing is real common, but it IS very possible and it doesn't take many seriously committed people to stir things up these days and, incidentally, attract more members.

18. Their "friends" own nearly all media
Independent media, meaning media not owned by a major corporate conglomerate, is looked upon as a bunch of kooks, so the "nearly" part is just political correctness on my part. A man can only think about things that he has information about. These kinds of organizations are infinitely more dangerous than anyone gives them credit for.

19. I was looking at radio station licenses in our state recently. There is nothing
that is not owned by the media conglomerates or evangelicals, with the exception of one metro area community radio and also a local pirate radio operating out of a barn somewhere out in the county calls himself Blue Barn News.

15. e.g. Two letters re Separation of Church & State in today's KC Star:
http://www.kansascity.com/309/story/1555690-p2.html

They are dead-serious about this: the Constitution does not require separation of church and state, only that the government make no law regarding religion . . . . so, if "the people" want government that is comprised only of "Christians" and implementing "Christian" policies, as long as no law is made about that, it's legal and, of course, "desirable"! :sarcasm:
