Any positive suggestions about what to do to help women's choice issues?
My knee jerk reaction is to suggest a "co-op" which provides only insurance for abortions. It would be set up as a non-profit and then solicit donations to help keep the insurance costs down. I would hope that there are enough pro choice people willing to contribute to such an endeavor that women choosing to purchase this insurance would be able to do so for a nominal fee ($1.00 would be the goal).

Yes I know it is more complicated than I make it sound but I am just trying to throw something out there that can be considered constructive.

Feel free to make better suggestions or to improve on mine.

1. Planned Parenthood.
They've been the best organization for women's choice for decades now. Thank god for them.

from people who really care about the issue and will put their finances where their ideals are. If tax dollars were to pay for it anyway - let those who want to donate pay into a pool to help others.

8. Be sure to name Sarah Palin and the honoree when donating.
They're notifying her that a donation has been made in her honor and their efforts to protect and defend a woman's right to reproductive choice.

7. Supposedly, this is one of the few issues where the Senate is MORE progressive than the House
But we'll see.

9. planned parenthood, naral, and your idea.
seriously, thank you for trying to come up with something positive so that we are not so inclined to bang our heads against the walls, or scream (my neighbors realllllllly hate it when I start screaming)

and we have to seriously stop voting for assholes who will casually vote away our rights to gain political points.

time to resurrect the National Women's Party
