Gays and Women keep getting the shaft
and it's all fine and dandy with many here.

This is basically what I read:

"Get a life, women and LGBT. Get in line or get out!"

I hope most won't be pushed around by that bullying. The facts are women's and lgbt rights are expendable.

All this in the name of some victory?

May I ask, what victory is so important that makes us willing to lose the fight for equality?

2. I was wondering where all the "pony" comments were this am - guess that's
reserved for just the GLBT issues when we get told to wait.

7. Gays, women, blacks, latinos; just because there are laws and rules, doesn't guarantee anyone
their rights. There are many shafts of different sizes and shapes that minimize the value and rights of various groups.

13. It does make you wonder where the line is
When do we find that point at which civil rights IS the priority? How much waiting is required before treating people equally is accepted as the first-line issue it should be?

to pay for her partner's premiums under this bill. See, even if they lived in a state where they could get married, they'd still be considered single under DUMA DOMA. :grr: :banghead: :argh:
