8. Because we have too many of them in our caucus to pass it without compromise.
Particularly when votes from people like Kucinich cannot be counted on.

I wonder if he realizes his refusal to vote on anything that is not "pure" left only drives legislation further right? He knows how Congress works, so he surely must.
