Extremely pissed and surprised at Kissell. He's breaking a campaign pledge.

3. Many of them are in very safe seats
Artur Davis, Bobby Bright, Mike Ross, Gene Taylor, Ike Skelton - no reason at all for these people to vote against this bill. We've simply got to come up with a strategy to reach their constituents.

And what's the deal with Eric Massa? That one surprises me too.

4. One name on that list surprises me: Eric Massa

He is the sole member of Congress who does not participate in the Congressional insurance plan. He says he will not take it until everyone has access to the same level of care.

Maybe his no is a protest?

I don't really know.

(edit to change "doe snot" to "does not")

10. Massa voted no because of the cost.
Also, he supported single payer.

6. Before you believe a rightwing site, shouldn't you ask his office?
"Politico says you're a lying, traitorous, American-murdering bastard. Are you?"

8. They actually underestimated the number of Democrats that voted against it
There has been some negative buzz from Kissell's office this week, so I'm inclined to believe he voted against it somewhere in those 39 no votes by Democrats.

11. Every last one of them should face a primary challenge
and hopefully, every last one will fail to be nominated.

Is in a District designed to provide Tom Feeney (r) a safe seat while he was speaker of the Florida House. He only lost to Kosmas because he tied himself closely to Bush and was involved with Jack Abramoff. While she voted this way to attempt to survive 2010, odds are that she won't if the Repugs put up any sort of credible candidate. The District is easily R+10, and likely more. McCain/Palin won the District easily on the same ballot. No need for a primary challenge here, the general election is a long shot with her and impossible for anything like a true progressive. I believe she may be the only (d) elected official in this District and is likely the first (d) elected there since the Carter Admin (1976). We had been running progressives and losing by 20 to 30 points for decades. I was surprised to see her win and I am sure it was only because Feeney was a terrible candidate.
