I don't see how a bad bill advances the ball. There's a major insurance reform concerning preexisting conditions but still isn't a good bill worthy of the people of this country given it's resources. Uniquely American still is uniquely less for more cost when compared with modern systems out there. Why must we always accept less than others?

1. Because "our" elected officials have been bought and paid for.
I'd love to know what it cost the insurance companies to get Kucinich's amendment removed from the bill. And, did Peolosi get all that money, or did she have to share it with the other Democrats who sold us out?

3. The Kucinich amendment was the only door in the bill that could have lessened
the corporate grip on Washington. That was how important it was and also why it failed.

2. by the time it's done
. . . I think we'll have given up more than we've gained. Pre-existing condition reform shouldn't have to be tied to this loving homage to the insurance lobby.

5. We're sure going to find out soon.
Americans just don't know enough about the rest of the world to compare our system rationally and change its focus.

I also have to chuckle at the cheerleaders here who are eating their shit sandwiches and telling us its caviar.
