I believe the leadership has cut a deal and the Stupak amendment
will pass.

It makes me crazy angry.

5.  I It is obvious. And Degette of Colorodao said she thinks the Senate will approve it as well.

4. It could fail or it could pass, but either way
there is no guarantee it will make it through conference.

6. The Senate is more against abortion than the House. Degette, the Pro-Choice Caucus Chair said it
is likely to be included.

7. The deal cut was to allow it to be offered as an amendment on the floor.

At that point, all bets are off.

It's an open question about whether the Bill would fall if the Amendment falls. Word earlier was that the bill was fine either way - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/07/house-health-care-vote-br_n_349468.html but I just read "no amendment, no majority for reform" on a tweet.

EDIT: I hear you on the anger, by the way. At the very least, it's a major league insult and a distraction.
