Rachel reported that the census worker may have committed suicide ?!?!?
Mr. Sparkman was found naked hanging from a tree in the woods with his hands and feet duct taped, the letters "FED" painted on his chest and his ID taped to his head/neck.

Now, because his hands had a little mobility it is assumed he killed himself?

I don't suppose he struggled and his hands came loose a little bit... maybe?

There were no defensive injuries found on him??? Oh Noes.. I don't suppose anyone down south might have had a hunting rifle to point at the "FED"!!!

So, if he did this to himself was there a partial roll of duct tape laying right below him where it would have dropped after he finished taping his own hands?

I mean seriously.... if the guy wanted to hang himself would he have done it like this? I know I wouldn't.

No offense to Rachel (she is by far my favorite person on TV) since I know she is just reporting what others have said. Also, sorry I didn't post this last night. I didn't get a chance to watch the show till this morning (Bob Dylan concert last night).

1. Her facial expressions indicated she thought otherwise.

3. The investigators have to ask themselves, was this the sort of man
who would have wanted to make a bizarre public spectacle out of his own death? I doubt that.

6. It's an unsourced rumor that they're even considering calling it suicide.
I'm not sure why everyone is having such a good time repeating it.

The investigation continues, nothing official has been said regarding COD. I don't know who benefits from spreading these rumors.

7. She reported that with a tongue in cheek attitude.
This is what the authorities are claiming, not Rachel. Looks like a cover up story is being hatched.

8. Coulda happened! Years ago a woman in S. Florida shot herself in the head
3 times, crawled into a big trash bag, taped it closed and rolled herself into a ditch behind the house. Happens all the time in the South.

11. This is one where it's a good idea to hold back opinionating and let facts dictate reactions
If this turns out to be the case, the people who irrationally hate government workers will be no less dangerous, but those who call out those hateful extremists on society's margins will appear a little more gullible, a little more rush-to-judgment inclined. If there are people out there killing census workers, it's a matter for police.

I appreciate the updates, but I want to know that facts are being put out front first, not political slants--even when the slant is one I share.
