Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is notoriously sensitive to media criticism. Even so, to many observers this move may seem drastic.

Hoping to keep a "low profile" on her upcoming trip to Wisconsin, the one-time GOP vice presidential candidate decided to ban all press from covering her speech. She further issued an edict against cell phones, cameras, laptops and recording devices of any kind, CNN noted.

During a radio interview, Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate called the restrictions "bizarre," especially coming from a self-described "rogue."

She's a freakin' cartoon. A badly drawn one, too.

3. Making those secret spy glasses and fake hearing aid mics good buys

She'll only make people get more clever with their recording devices. We are beyond being able to control that.

Try the PULSE Smartpen. A friend of mine got one of these after I showed it to him on YouTube. I want one, but I can't afford a toy like that right now without a reason to get it.

Seems like it would be awesome for a situation like this, though.

edit- this thing:

It also has a translator built in- it's not very good, but I'd really really like to be able to have my pen say something vulgar in, say, Spanish, during one of her awkward pauses. I think this could do that. 'Puta madre' in the pen's clinical push-one-to-access-billing voice would suffice very nicely.

Imagine something like ten reporters writing "fuck off" in English and having their pens say the Spanish aloud at the press conference. It's comedy gold.

12. Just a prelude of the Palin presidency and her vow to
"protect our freedoms". Reminds me of a manager I had years ago who said, "I believe in teamwork as long as everyone does as I say." :eyes:

15. Other Palin demands:
1. There will be no microphone at the podium where I'm speaking
2. A fully opaque screen will be erected between myself and the audience so they cannot see my image during the speech.
