OH Rachel is sticking a fork into my Congress Critter Virginia Foxx - is it Goose I am smelling?
And might it be getting cooked.

Today, in the Winston-Salem Journal, a paper that endorsed McCain over Obama, we had an editorial saying we may have become the laughing stock of the whole country. They in few moments of calling it like it is extol on that Virginia Foxx has come to the attention of national commentators.

Little did they know then, what the whole country knows now. Rachel did an entire expose at the end of her show - with clips of all the damn dumb fool things Virginia has said and the quirky utterly stoopid ways in which she has behaved.

Yes, Virginia, there is a come-uppance, and yes Virginia, there is justice, it may grind slowly, but I think Santa will bring you a nice surprise like getting sent home where you belong. Just as soon as we can make it happen.

Off to writing yet another LTE on the sore and tiring subject, and to tell to my locals about how her clock was cleaned.

1. If somebody made these things up, nobody would believe them...
Good for you, issuing a wakeup call. :patriot: But the truly frightening thing is that people actually voted for this loon... :scared:

5. Yes, and these people are my neighbors, some on my street. Look at this:
We try to get rid of her, she has millions. We are looking for a candidate to go up against her as I type.
We work hard.

This was not long ago, where I was able to help to show her up for how small she is.

7. Wow! Thanks! That was magnificent!!!
It sounds like we have the same sort of neighbors. x(

But if we can unseat our moran RW loon, you should be able to unseat yours... :pals:

Rep. John Sweeney (R), NY-Dist. 20. The local paper once said that he could "have the job for life," if he wanted it. But thanks to his penchant for drunk driving, domestic violence and partying with under-aged frat boys :eyes:, we finally managed to replace him with Kirstin Gillibrand in 2006. :-)

Good luck! :fistbump:

2. 20%. That's all that's left of the GOP. Sentient beings do not follow Virginia Foxx.
All the best to you. The Dems need to get it together, but the GOP is an ever-shrinking yet homogeneous party. In other words, they are gone.

Pass the health care bill Saturday, and move on. If we can do that, we will put a stake through the heart (what heart?) of what remains of the GOP.

3. Got to say, Foxx's insistence that Health Care Reform is bigger threat than terrorism made my day
Edited on Fri Nov-06-09 10:21 PM by havocmom
She, and other GOP idiot pols are admitting the 'terrorist threat' was hype and little real threat to America. THAT is what they are really saying. Terrorists are not as dangerous as working to level the playing field when Big Insurance rolls over the American consumer paying for, but not really getting, health care. The 'threat' is to bank accounts of over-paid societal leeches and the whore politicians they pay off.

Terrorism is not really a big threat. Fat Cats losing some coin is a big threat, for whoring pols' security, anyway.

When you listen to Foxx carefully, that is her real message.

6. Tancredo said the same thing. It is clearly a new talking point - all fear all the time.

14. Yep, talking point. As for Tancredo, point out that the chickenhawk lied about terrorism
If health care reform is THE BIGGEST THREAT, then he (and all other GOP pols) has been lying about 'terra terra terra' all these years. Lying, then, as now, for profit.

Shout it from the rooftops. Make it impossible for these public servants corporate whores to go outside without being confronted on all their lies

8.  Take a hard look at the face of Virginia Foxx
she may look like a typical 67 year old, kindly grandmother, but what you see is a tool of the fearful and ignorant extremists who have hijacked the Republican party and are taking it back, to darker times.

Foxx, Bachmann, Boehner, and others such as DeLay and Gingrich before them, are mixing and drinking the Kool-Aid that will result in the ultimate demise of their party, the GOP Suicide.

Foxx is up for reelection in 2010, and it will be up to the North Carolina electorate to demonstrate that they prefer light to darkness, that they will not allow the fear and ignorance of the extremists to drown them all in the primordial ooze, lest they all become extinct GOPosaurs

as I was looking to make sure her jig will be up in 2010, I found the words I am posting, and copying they are not mine, though I second them for sure

9. I saw Foxx today on C-SPAN 2 saying what sounded like crazy things
She was questioning Charlie Rangel about the healthcare bill amendments being made. She asked why there wasn't an amendment prohibiting any funding for abortion. She stated that the majority of Americans are pro-life and she asked for a show of hands in the room of how many are pro-life and asked if Rangel was himself. He refused to take the bait. Then she rattled off several statements based on some dubious-sounding studies in her possession, claiming that there's no proof that those who are uninsured can't afford to be covered. I wonder if those are insurance company funded studies. I didn't get to see Rachel's show today and I wonder if she challenged some of these studies that Foxx clings to.

10. Deja vu!!!
We endured Marilyn Musgrave and came within three points of removing her in '06. Last year we got the job done - and Rachel Maddow still loves ripping MM, always a joy to watch.

Tonight I got to see Tancredo get shredded, saw it live, then watched the 'rerun' on Keith's show. Was a time when Tommy and MM were embarassing the state on a daily basis. They're gone, we're still here. Heh!

So, yeah, sympathies for your present situation. And every confidence that the good people of your state will put enough boots on the ground to replace the thang.

13. You forgot Bush-toady Wayne Allard
who never had an original thought in his life but was a rubber stamp for anything Bush/Rove wanted. We got DINO Ken Salazar but at least it was a foot in the door.

15. We'd LIKE to forget Allard.
Unfortunately, his former chief of staff, Sean Conway, is now on our county commission. Pretentious little shit.

16. So You Think You've Got It Bad??
Ha! Try living a short while in the great state of South Carolina, then you'll know what TRUE humiliation is!

We're blessed with a governor who goes mountain-climbing to see his foreign lover, a senator who bellows "YOU LIE!!" at our President in Congress (and makes a ton of money off it), two more morons who explain why Jews get rich (they hoard money, you know), and another senator who didn't know what "dithering" means and had to look it up--and told the whole country, with apparent pride.

Pardon me while I go shoot myself lol!
