Sometimes councelors need counseling

I have a friend who's a therapist. He also does volunteer work for the Red Cross going to disaster areas around the country, but not to give aide to the victims. He provides counseling to the other professional therapists who are caring for the victims. I don't know what caused the shooter at Ft Hood to snap, but all the talk about how he should be immune from stress because he himself was a mental health professional is somewhat misguided.

the dogs that searched the rubble had to "find" a live person once in a while so they wouldn't get too depressed...face it, just because you are a therapist doesn't mean you are immune to hurting, and depression...we live in a fucked up,fucking mess of a fucking piece of shit society right now. Face it, gun violence is as American as you can get.

because they had therapy in the past, like alcohol rehab counselors.
