some Native Americans, people of Italian, Mexican, and Vietnamese extraction, and yes, even some who's lineage hails from England, the land whose soldiers chased our President and his Lady from their home, then burned it, leaving the White House smoldering black ash.

In summary, there are people who've given their all for this country whose roots place them among all the peoples this country has waged war against over the centuries. And yes, some distinguished themselves among our forces in conflicts against their land of ancestral origins.

People are people and deserve to be measured as individuals. Whatever were we fighting for over the years, if not to at least earn the right to be ourselves?
