10. Snake is Right

For me, William Safire was the original snake, lying coiled in the grass under a seductive lede, but ready to pump in the venom deep in the body of his column. When he retired, David Brooks replaced him and played the same game. I always think of William Safire as Old Snake and David Brooks as New Snake.

Did she cash in and try to get a conscience again?

I never did like David Brooks, and Brooks and Shields on Fridays is un-viewable. Lots of NPR is unlistenable.

I stopped pledging to either when we lowered our income. There are now bigger priorities now, sad to say.
