I found out today that Big Ed is a pitchman for cleaning products which makes me further question his sincerity to our causes because he'll obviously do anything for money including wiping grease off an airplane.

Don't let that influence your decision or anything tho.

***** EDIT ***** To clarify why promoting cleaning products makes me question his sincerity, it's because he used to be a conservative talker or "righty" as he would call them. As recently as 2000, he was still "cheerleading for far right candidates and causes"1. It's rare enough for someone to completely change ideologies from one extreme to the next but to actually go on national TV and syndicated radio shows run by the same execs as Rush Limpballs, and speak with such zeal is really really fishy.

2. I don't see any problem with advertising a "green" product
even if it involves cleaning an airplane with it. I'd be glad to be stuck in an elevator with him because we could talk about airplanes.

22. Me either.
He is an excellent pitchman so why not hire him? I'd do it if I was skilled in that area....What's wrong with people always making a negative spin out of a healthy positive?

3. Do you think Ed Schultz making money is a bad thing?
If so, why? Have you ever listened to any progressive radio at all? Because Stephanie Miller shills a lot of products. Nothing wrong with it either. This is America and they are (gasp!) capitalists. The answer to your question, I'd rather be stuck in an elevator with Ed Schultz. Hey, I think he'd bust his ass to get the elevator going again and besides, maybe he could explain to me how to make some money.

Ed's high pitch and intensity over just about everything is unsettling as hell to me. I turn him off all the time. David is easy to watch and listen to.

him having a green product and making money from it bother me. I like them both, while Ed gets the elevator working David could keep me entertained. Why have to pick one over the other.

Big Ed can yell louder. Since I am claustrophobic, I would prefer to get the hell outta there ASAP.
Yep, Big Ed for practical reasons. Sometimes it is best to look beyond past associations and find the most practical tool for the specific job ;)

Ed, please don't slurp and spew at the same time!

18. Hey this is America - you gotta whore yourself out to SOMEBODY
Ever hear Tom Hartmann pitching gold coins, online file backup services, or prostate pills? You wanna be on the radio? You better be prepared to be a pitchma.> That's how the fat pig got the dough he now receives. I don't begrudge Ed Schultz or anybody else pitching some crap.

21. The product is Bio Green Clean, and the owner called in on
'Recession Busting Friday' and Ed seemed skeptical at first. Apparently many of his listeners have bought the product and are pleased with it. I don't know that I'll agree that 'he'll do anything for money', but I don't have the product to make a determination about whether it's environmentally safe or not. I intend to order a small amount of it to check it out.

As to being stuck in an elevator...neither, because I would go apeshit.

He's obnoxious, arrogant, pompous, and totally insufferable.

"arrogant" = confident and proud to be a liberal

"pompous" = (see: "arrogant")

"totally insufferable" = calls liars "liars", psychopaths "psychopaths, etc.

You never can tell if his thoughts are his own, or what his bosses want him to say.

With Big Eddie, you know.
