Edited on Fri Nov-06-09 06:28 PM by MrScorpio
Yesterday, they vowed at that ugly rally to "kill the bill".

Did you noticed that most of the speakers came from good old Dixie? I did.

Well, I figure that they really wanted to say that they wanted to "Lynch the bill", instead. That would have REALLY riled up those theabaggers, don't you thiink?

While they're at it, the GOP might as well decorate the lawn of the capitol with some stars and bars, burning crosses and a few nooses thrown in for good measure.

They might as well be honest about this thing.

1. I'd have a teeny bit more respect for them if they did
But not much, just a teeny bit.

2. yeah, I noticed.
I noticed that Bachmann looked, as usual, slightly mad, that one speaker couldn't tell the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution (yes, I'm Canadian, and I know the difference). I noticed that a lot of them were urging people to vote against their own interests, and that the usual 'button' words were being employed and cheered.

Pretty discouraging, IMHO.

3. They'd have to recognize their racism first, which I doubt they're conscious of. nt

6. The pretense that they don't have white hoods and robes
They're pretty good at using Klan language, they're just dressed all funny

5. Our lovely congresscritter, Mike Pence, was there
trying to snuggle up to Michele Bachmann and Virginia Foxx. Lots of Hoosiers wish he WAS in Dixie somewhere. Personally, I think he would be right at home in Alabama.

If Pence knows his history, he felt right at home.

11. Oh, he does!
His district is the birthplace of the klan - towns such as Elwood and Alexandria. However, folks around here have "FoxNewsd" the klan history out of their memory.

15. Cut off that lower left appendix and you have a very conservative area.
Grant County (upper left) is not in his district and a little ashamed of its klan history.

7. 100% agree about the honesty thing
I remember when Trent Lott made his infamous remarks about how much better off we'd have been had good 'ol racist/segregationist Strom Thurmond become president way back when, I thought about having a t-shirt printed up with a picture of Trent and the caption : "finally, an honest republican" .

9. At least with the Klan you knew what they stood for, unlike

the GOP and the way they weasel and spin and try to make people think they really care about America.

Both groups are disgusting, but the GOP is the least honest of the two.

14. I like Thom Hartmann's idea of how they should be made to wear the logos
of all the corporations that own them while doing the vote, just like NASCAR drivers wear.

17. I agree, I mean why hide the obvious?......
Their racism is so out in the open, anyone who pays a little attention should know by now that the GOP is nothing but a party of racist, domineering, greedy, rich, white, old, guys, just look at their rally's. Sure they have their token black people here and there to maintain this illusion that they are not racist but anyone with half a brain can see right through that facade.

At this point republicans just need to whip out the white robes and hoods, the confederate flags, the crosses, the swastika's ect and all other racist paraphernalia that I'm sure is tucked away in all their closets back home and just bring it out into the open. They're not fooling anyone anymore, the cat is out of the bag, so why hide it?

I thought I'd seen everything hateful from them until I saw that Dachau poster. These people and their politicians are beyond vile.
