Absolutely. Maddow would be a great host on MTP.
And she can hold her own with pretty much anyone. I also like her interviewing style.

12. Why? This gets a good progressive voice on one of the most popular sunday shows out there
refusing would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

18. You're right, but I hate the thought of Rachel helping gregory, with anything. nt

20. Yeah, that's very true
but I guess we gotta do what we can for now to get people like Rachel out there. I dream of the day someone that actually asks tough questions gets a show like MTP, Jon Stewert would be awesome too.

for what passes for news/opinion over the airwaves... Rachael is clearly the smartest person there.

She's been on twice before and put the RW in their place...
She was just excellent, armed with the facts, no big surprise... :-)

11. IMO she really IS the best MSNBC has. I love KO and most
of the time Tweety is good too, but Rachel really does a terrific job. Even the few times she's given wrong info, she always states it on a future show & appologizes for the error.

I think Rachel is going to be the Walter Cronkite, Dianne Sawyer, Barbra Walters of the future!

15. I agree with you. She really has come into her own...
I remember the first time that she subbed for KO, talked about how nervous she was on her radio show. She was a little anxious at first, but got into it and did a terrific job. And the rest is history... ;)

She not only has all the facts, but explains even the most complicated issue so clearly that the rest of us can get it... And, like on MTP, she won't back down, but she's always polite and professional. Yes, Rachel rocks! And who knows how far she'll go? :D

7. Call me back when's she's hosting the show.
Then I might start watching it again. But while Gregory is hosting, no way.

By the way, I think she's been on before.

9. the reason she is on multiple times imo is that the numbers seem to go up when she is on.
she is damned fair, and imo would be a much better host than that david gregory. let him go back to sitting in for matt lauer when he is on vacation.

How many other "pundits," left or right, actually have a PhD in political science?

19. She's really hitting her stride
I can't get over how much she's improved on her own show. She exudes self-confidence and smoothness. She's well organized and has developed a very quick tongue. In the first days of her show, she looked a bit tentative to me and she's really come a long way.
