FBI sends team to Fort Hood to re-create shooting
Source: USA Today

USA TODAY correspondent Kevin Johnson sent us this report on the dispatch of an FBI team to Fort Hood:

The special team of investigators from Washington, D.C., will re-create the shooting in an attempt to learn how the attack was carried out, FBI spokesman Eric Vasys says.

Among the goals of the "shooting team,'' Vasys says, is to establish the exact location of the shooter at the time of the attack, a time-line reflecting the order in which the victims were shot, how many rounds were fired and how the suspect, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was ultimately stopped by a military police officer.

Vasys says federal authorities are involved in an "aggressive investigation of any and all aspects of Maj. Hasan.''

2. Useless!
They should go catch a criminal, instead of wasting their time so they can get free publicity.

3. You trust the military to give release an honest investigation?

9. You have know way of knowing if that is the story.
There may have been other shooters. Who shot who is still not know. How he did it is not known. Why the rush to claim case closed?

7. Do you understand English?
It means their is no need to recreate the god damn scene! Christ, the guy went nuts and killed a bunch of people. It is a horrible tragedy. The FBI loves publicity....good PR. They fight with other agencies constantly so they can "be in charge".

8. How do you know they don't need to recreate the scene?
I was kind of under the impression that they are experts, and we pay them to do this kind of work.
After all the conflicting reports from yesterday, how do we know what really happened?
Isn't that what they are going to try to find out?
I don't understand your animosity...

11. What happened does not seem to be in question.
Why it happened might be worth looking into. Recreating the shooting is a waste of time in my opinion.

10. I doubt they know until they start putting it together.
