How ironic is it . . .
That the tea partiers get together to storm congress yesterday, and begin their anti-government rally by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance?

They're so confused.

2. Not confusion....ignorance!
Don't confuse confusion with ignorance. They aren't smart enough to see the irony of their protest.

Eyernie - n. - That form of humor that libruls always say it isn't when we say it is, and the kind we do kind of unintentionally.

7. They recite it for the "under god" bit
they're quite obsessed with this anti-Communist addition to the pledge. Truth is, many of them want a theocracy. The bible is the only basis for law in their mind and many fear hell fire if they don't take the land for Jesus.

I do worry about exactly what they're projecting, though. Republicans always project. Whatever it is they're accusing others of is exactly what they're doing. At least this makes them easy to figure out.

If you recall the Chinese campaign money scandal, while they were making a fuss about Democrats receiving foreign money from China, Haley Barbour (RNC Chairman at that time) had been on a boat outside Hong Kong trawling for dollars. It was so bad they shut the whole investigation down, because it sullied them worse than their Dem counterparts.

Given this, WTF are their plans given what they're projecting? It's difficult to decipher.

10. And they left out "indivisible"
They should have changed the last line to reflect their real views, "with liberty and justice for us, and us alone."

Some asshat wrote something in the editorial of our local fish wrap today about how it should be illegal for newspapers to endorse political candidates.

13. The Pledge of Allegiance pledges allegiance to a piece of cloth, not the government. Frankly,
I'm not sure which is worse.
