"Kerfuffle" sounds more like something toddlers might do in their Winnie-the-Pooh underpants.

7. I like the word too ....
but I thought it meant a large conflict which was disorganized, involved many and had no tangible or concrete resolution.

I do know however that the Republicans are Klumperfers. It feeds their desire to kerfuffle.
