1. All we know is that he'd been in the military since he graduated

from high school, went to medical school on the military's dime, and was scheduled to go to Iraq, his first ever deployment, at the end of this month. We know he was unmarried with no children.

All we have right now are questions. We don't know if his Arabic name indicated his own faith or that of his parents that he didn't share or if he was a practicing Muslim, he'd been radicalized enough to kill. We don't know if he was developing PTSD just from sitting and listening to horror stories every day, all day. We don't know if he was angry at being transferred to Texas. We don't know if he was freaked out at being sent to war.

We just don't know. Everything is pure speculation at this point.
