Rant: I don't have effing health care.
And I'm bloody tired of seeing teapotters or whatever the hell they are called now running around like loons demanding
that no reform be passed. I'll bet a lot of them have Medicare or some sort of government program or are related to
somebody who does.

I am especially tired of them calling themselves PATRIOTS. They are either hired shills or dupes being used by large
groups and corporations to stop reform before it can cut into profits.

I want somebody to call them on it LOUD AND CLEAR. There is a way to work within the constitutional system to bring about change, and it's called voting. If they were real patriots, they would be using their energy working on the 2010 elections. They are just thugs having temper tantrums because they can't get their way.

I want somebody to call their bluff and put in a bill that calls for a halt to any government run medical care. Make it plain this is socialized medicine, and if they don't want it, FINE.

I'd also like to know where all the jackbooted, darkly dressed enforcers are with their sonic whatevers to break up these protests. If there had been a whisper of a leftwing gathering that even hinted at the shenanigans they pulled today, there would have been arrests and charges of terrorism.

I'm tired of seeing these angry idiots who are a minority on teevee getting 15 minutes of infamy. They are just making it harder and harder to hear everybody else.

SPEAK UP PEOPLE! DROWN OUT THEIR HATE!
(people as in the silent whatever who are showing up in polls in favor of reform)

3. I was where you were for the first 26 years of my life.
I lost years of productivity because the medication I need to keep my OCD under control was too expensive. As a child, we only got medical treatment if it was an emergency. We were lucky no one ever broke a bone or got cancer. These people with no sympathy for their fellow citizens are disgusting. We aren't a civilized nation.

If we had a national heathcare, I would have been patched up earlier then 28, instead of suffering.

4. From the signs and the stupid slogans, it seem they need health care
the most, mental health care!!!

We are going to have to get this done some other way. Maybe when the big fornication with the insurance industry bill is passed and signed and the frenzy dies down, we can somehow smoke a trojan horse through Congress when no one is paying attention. It could be a quiet back room meeting about letting everyone who gets Medicare deducted from their paycheck have a right to demand Medicare coverage with the addition of a small premium payment if they are under 65. Or maybe it could even be a class lawsuit in federal court.

Hell, look at one of McCains right hand guys here.

He's without insurance now,and screwed, and doing the "pre-existing conditions" dance with these amoral, soulless bastards and screaming like a stuck pig about it. These dickheads are always "Fuck you, I got mine, kiss my ass deadbeat" until they don't have theirs anymore and THEN all of a sudden the system is broke.

I really don't know whether to laugh at, or feel sorry for, him

11. Yes. Even if it only helps a few, it's probably worth doing.
It should be used as inspiration to pass more, better legislation.

12. To answer your question
"I'd also like to know where all the jackbooted, darkly dressed enforcers are with their sonic whatevers to break up these protests. If there had been a whisper of a leftwing gathering that even hinted at the shenanigans they pulled today, there would have been arrests and charges of terrorism."

We are at work, we don't have the fucking time, so I don't actually know what shenanigans "they" pulled today because I don't have time to read and listen to everything becuase I AM WORKING. I agree w/you for the most part, but maybe these teabaggers are living on a trust fund. All I know is that I work on average 70 hrs. a week so I don't have a lot of time to be concerned with these nimrods. I DO have insurance, however my insurance is completely run by the drug companies, as is all insurance and they don't cover "alternative medicine" which is the only medicine I trust, so I pay out of pocket for pretty much everything as I don't care to be drugged to death.

Until we get rid of the HMO's PPO's and all health insurance providers and are all covered under one umbrella which is paid for by tax dollars, and which medical research is ALSO paid for with tax dollars, we will always be held hostage to being treated - not cured. There is no incentive to cure illness w/o universal healthcare. Most of the real research on the auto-immune diseases, which make up most of the illnesses (and which are largely environmentally caused) in our society, is done in the UK and Canada. Why? because they save money by actually curing illness, not medicating the hell out of everyone.

Kill all those bloodsucking companies making a profit off illness. Nothing less will do. All this arguing and debating is just their way of making sure that things stay the same and unfortunately there are a lot of ignorant people with too much time on their hands that are easily brainwashed into doing their dirty work for them. If one more of these freaks says "God bless, I will pray for you" while they are panhandling or trying to get a petition signed...well - thankfully I don't carry a gun.
