If it were up to them, the U.S. standard of living would resemble Mexico. In Mexico, workers don't have many rights, and there is no minimum wage. Moreover, there are lax environmental standards.

I'm not bashing Mexico. Just saying we should use that against them, when they accuse us of wanting to be like Europe.

1. I think Mexico is too advanced for them. They really want us to be a 3rd. world country with the
top 1% getting everything.

Anarchy, religious nuts, lots of guns, and no evil government to worry about.

5. Mexico is far too advanced. For instance, they have an all inclusive
government health insurance and retirement system and is working on making them universal. All pregnant women are to be covered next year, for example, regardless of ability to pay.

There is also a minimum wage in Mexico and it's enforced. It's just a very low minimum wage and we'd be equivalent in purchasing power without our last increase.

Their paradise is Somalia. There are no regulatory agencies to trouble them, no taxes, and miles of unspoiled beaches...well, unspoiled by anything beyond the occasional wrecked cargo ship.

Best of all, the current paradise was created when the Great and Holy Daddy Bush invaded them.

7. Yeah, we got two ways we can go...
We can be like socialist Europe, or we can dump our middle class entirely and become something worse than Mexico, with a filthy rich and utterly corrupt oligarchy violating the basic human rights of a struggling peasant class.

Mexico is much too socialist for our right wing.
