The Republicans in Congress have had it pretty easy for a year
They don't have to do any of the hard work of crafting legislation. Come to think of it, they've had it easy for about 9 years. During the Bush years they just crafted legislation probably written by corporate lobbyists. Now they just have to obstruct and let outside groups like Club for Growth and Dick Armey's minions lead the way from behind the curtain.

No wonder they balked when they were forced to come to work for about the entire week and stay longer hours. How were House members going to fill their day waiting for Special Orders when they could stand their and read what their corporate masters wrote for them?

Oh, the pain - the pain!

But hey, it pays well and the benefits are da bomb.

1. Liberals, Progressives and the Media Give Them A Free Pass
The best example is the Maine election. The media screams that Gay Rights leaders are blaming President Obama. However, what about the right wing? What about the GOP? Sadly, they repeatedly get a free pass.

2. I don't remember the Dem minorities getting any free passes in the media
during the Bush years. We were told they were unAmerican.

4. Well, we know who owns the media
It's why the teabaggers are getting so much coverage today.

I'm glad that Keith will be back tonight. His perspective is always a shot in the arm.

3. Today it was on the news how American productivity was way up
So far up that companies don't need to hire new workers. Americans are being worked to the bone.

Meantime, Congressional Republicans cool their heels with theatrics like today's rally. A time filler, really. Right now, they've crafted a career around one word, "no".

They remind me of people I've worked with. They manage to look quite busy while accomplishing little. Walking to the washroom very quickly can make one look like you're really about important work. Or walking down a hallway while checking your appointment book can make a person seem like a VIP.

The Republicans are faking it really well while working class Americans are being worked to death - and in many cases without health insurance.
