Pretty simple. Anyone on Medicare protesting Health Care reform must give up their insurance.

And they wouldn't have to pay those monthly premiums to the pesky mean ole government anymore.

They can turn themselves over to the private insurance companies.

These folks have already paid into the system for their entire working lives. You really want the Government to be able to yank a benefit you've already paid for if they don't like your politics?

Why does the AARP support HCR? The largest and most powerful lobby in America supports HCR. I agree that yanking people's benefits is shitty, especially to the elderly. However, the bill simply doesn't take away their coverage or benefits. HCR would probably end up lowering their premiums. So I don't want to yank it, but I do want to tell them to STFU.

And if you are a happy medicare recipient who thinks government cannot run healthcare then you are a moron.
