Le Mieux is Florida's new Senator, appointed by Governor Charlie "Drill baby Drill" Crist. He has never been elected so much as Dogcatcher, but he was put in, and promised NOT to run against Charlie. In other words, he is a GOP placeholder.

The New Times appears to have the more interesting stories while the Sun-Sentinel and Palm Beach Post are more along the lines of "Mary Sunshine" from the musical "Chicago" (Irony is not lost on me here...)
