have the power to institute a single payer scheme? Is the purpose of this - to provide Federal Funding?

1. The problem is that ERISA blocks implementation
The Kucinich Amendment removes that barrier.

2. How does ERISA block Single Payer.
The only issue I can see is if Medicare retirement age is less generous than State Single Payer. An individual State would still have the option to suppliment Medicare if so determined. Correct?

4. ERISA was orriginally a pensions law that is now applied to all benefits
If a corporation is doing buisiness in more than one state, the idea would be that they could use the same benefit packages all across the board. Single payer, if in some states and not others, louses up that arrangement.
